One of the most successful guitarists, who has gained name and fame not only in Maldives, but around the world, Shahyd Legacy has released his newest album Gateways on 26th of june. The album was released at the Habeys Eid Show, which was held at the Carnival Stage in male' city.

The album consists of 9 tracks, all produced, mixed and mastered by Shahyd at his Legacy Studios and will be his 4th solo album.

While Shahyd Legacy is mostly famous as the lead guitarist of Maldivian metal band Sacred Legacy, he made his entrance onto the musical stage in late 2004 with his first band ‘SYN’. After that, he took his music to a whole new level, and he formed his own band, Sacred Legacy, in 2006. In that year, we saw Shahyd releasing his first guitar solo album called the ‘Sacred Legacy’ in September, and the album gained eminence almost instantaneously with hard thrashing riffs and melodious solos.

Shahyd began his solo career soon afterwards as his melodies demanded more singular attention that had to be addressed.

“His melodies demanded more attention than any small segment of a song can address, they were crying for a separate feel and a texture only a dedicated instrumental song can do justice to,” reads in Shahyd’s website.

While Shahyd has released an album teaser link, he says that the newest album, Gateways, is quite different to his previous solo albums stating that the album is more melodic and experimental.

“The music is dynamic and emotional with different vibes for each song,” Shahyd says.

Shahyd says that he has experimented with more tones and variations in this album, possibly giving a different taste and fans will come to enjoy.

Previous to Gateways, Shahyd Legacy had released 3 solo albums, but the musician says that Gateways can easily outdo the other albums and will be a benchmark for his style.

After the album has been released, it will be available to download from all digital and streaming websites. As mentioned before, the tracklist of the album contains 9 tracks, and they are Dominion, Event Horizon, Between Worlds, The Imitation Game, Duels of Fate, Warriors Dawn, Star Dust, Lunar, and Kingdom of Eden. The album will be a treat for those fans who are eagerly waiting for Shahyd Legacy to continue his legacy in the world of music.
